we are an unfunded grassroots project without a hierarchy or fixed membership base
we want to be a home for the unusual, the irregular, the idiosyncratic
we want fresh perspectives and to promote conversations around mental health challenges
we are currently based in Bristol, UK
our magazine the cracked bell will be available to buy through our etsy shop which will be linked to our website and at events, once the first run of 100 is done we'll be taking orders for a further print run of 50 and once there's enough orders the next batch will be printed and so on
we have decided against selling the magazine through the major retailers so that more of the profits made after production costs can be shared equally among contributors, we will also make a digital version
we are a social media free enterprise
we respect that social media coverage can raise awareness and increase engagement, but it can also create needless stress and anxiety, if you have a platform and wish to promote our work/events then great (we could do with all the free publicity we can get) but we do not want our contributors to feel in competition with one another, or to feel like they are in a popularity contest
we are a very small collective with big ambitions, you will meet us at events but online we are shy, socially awkward and proud
